Working at sea allows you to manage your own column independently with no juniors, working with incredibly diverse hair types and guests from all over the globe. You will provide world-class cutting, styling, and coloring services while traveling the world. Key Responsibilities
Perform professional cuts, styles, and advanced coloring services for both ladies and gentlemen.
Deliver signature up-styles and flawless blow-dries for the ship’s glamorous formal evenings.
Perform therapeutic hair and scalp treatments, as well as men's barbering and grooming services.
Be open to cross-training in modern salon offerings such as teeth whitening, brow shaping, and lash extensions.
Maximize revenue and client satisfaction by consistently hitting targets through upselling treatments and retailing premium products (the 3 R's: Rebook, Retail, Refer).
Run your workstation with absolute punctuality, flawless hygiene, and clean presentation.
Qualifications & Entry Requirements
Education: Completed hairdressing training at a full-time college or a 3-year apprenticeship, equivalent to Level 3.
Technical Skills: Confident in both Ladies and Gents hairdressing. Strong, fast blow-drying skills on ALL hair types—with a particular emphasis on blow-drying straight without the aid of flat irons.
Product Knowledge: Color trained (ideally with L'Oréal or similar premium international brands).
Soft Skills: High creativity, adaptability to work shifts under pressure, superb relationship-building skills, and a positive mindset.
Compensation & Japanese National Benefits
Monthly Earnings:$800 – $4,000+ USD (Composed of an uncapped commission structure based on your salon column performance and retail sales, plus tips, with a guaranteed minimum of $800/month).
